Insights7 was not built in a lab. It came out of a services business where we kept running into the same wall, in company after company — so we built the system we wished every one of those clients already had.
The Insights7 platform was first developed in 2008, inside our own professional and managed services business. Many of our early clients were IT organizations running the core internal functions of their companies — and we often ended up supporting those functions directly, which meant learning firsthand what happens when a company's work is not clearly connected to the value it is supposed to create.
That pattern held everywhere we looked, regardless of industry. Talented people, doing real work, without a shared, current definition of what their work was actually for. It was never a talent problem, and it was never really an effort problem. It was a missing system.
We built Insights7 to be that system — an everything-as-a-service (XaaS) approach that makes value, not just cost or output, the organizing principle behind how work gets prioritized, measured, and understood, at every level of a company.
That gap used to be survivable. A confused team still shows up, still works hard, and misalignment stays hidden long enough to get fixed later, or for the quarter to work out anyway. AI does not allow for that anymore — it acts immediately, at scale, on whatever ground truth it is given, and if that ground truth was never clearly defined, it amplifies the gap instead of quietly absorbing it the way a person might. What used to be a slow leak is now instant and visible. That is the moment Insights7 is built for.
Mike has spent 25 years helping companies around the world, across a wide range of industries, solve some of their most consequential business challenges. That work built a consistent conviction: teams do their best work, and companies grow fastest, when everyone can see exactly how what they do creates value — for their direct customers and for the business as a whole. Insights7 is the system he built to make that possible everywhere, not just in the rooms he could personally walk into.
